Wir warn echt begeistert vom Alcatraz, supernette Leute und die Zimmer warn auch spitze! Man kommt sich hier vor wie in einer WG, die Zimmer sind so Altbauräume mit ganz hohen Decken, und man fühlt sich sofort sehr wohl =)

schade dass wir wieder heim müssen!
nächstes jahr kommen wir wieder, aber dann im sommer.
so eine kälte haben wir ja auch zu hause!

Eine Frage: Meine beste Freundin & ich würden im Sommer gern für 4-5 Tage nach Berlin und sind zu dem Zeitpunkt allerdings beide noch 17.
Würde das mit der Buchung bzw dem Aufenthalt in eurem Hostel dennoch funktionieren oder ist das problematisch wenn man nicht volljährig ist?

I stayed four nights at Alcatraz and I had a really good time! The dorms (which were very clean) and the common kitchen were great, and the location is very good too.
If you're looking for a hostel with a lot going on this might not be the place, but otherwise this is it!

My wife and I have been at the hostel for tree nights. We liked it so much, and met some nice people.The staff
help you if you have some kind quistions and more.
One day we will come back to Berlin, and than stay at this hostel.

super saubere zimmer, super nette leute getroffen, super tolle gegend zum shoppen und feiern! ist aber kein party hostel, wer die ganze nacht im hostel durchfeiern will, ist hier wohl falsch.... um die ecke gibt es aber viele coole läden zum party machen... werd euch auf jeden fall weiterempfehlen!

this hostel has been amazing the people here are so friendly and helpful. they have a great common room and are located in an awesome neighborhood. there are good bars in this area and its right accross from the sbahn.

Leider ließ die Sauberkeit auf unserem Zimmer zu wünschen übrig, ansonsten war aber alles super!!!!!

Super Hostel!
Total nette Leute getroffen und die Leute an der Rezeption waren auch sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war super-sauber, garnicht wie in anderen Hostels in denen ich schon mal in Berlin war...
Werd Euch auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!!!

Habe den Aufenthalt im Alcatraz sehr genossen. Die Lage im angesagtesten Stadtteil von Berlin (PrenzlBerg) besticht durch coole Locations. Der Empfang ist sehr nett, die Zimmer und anderen Räumlichkeiten sind sauber und mit Graffitis szenetypisch gestaltet. Für junge Leute: absolut empfehlenswert!

Kann ich nur jedem weiter empfelen,der günstig Übernachten will!

War sehr zufrieden,alles sauber,angenehme Nacht gehabt..! =)

I stayed for 6 days and it was wonderful, the staff was friendly and helpful, I enjoyed staying in that nice painted hostel.

Very nice feel to hostel.
Close to nightlife.
Friendly staff.
Only downfall is they allow smoking in the kitchen!!!!

We have stayed in the Alcatraz hostel for five nights (2-bed-room) and were very sad when we had to return home. It's a very clean and cosy hostel, staff is very kind. It's a place where you can feel home... We're certainly going back! Thanks for everything, Alcatraz..

stayed for two days and loved it..very clean and the staff is very helpful..it is very sentral and all you want is always a short walk or less from the hostel:)

Ruhrgebiet küßt die Hand des Prenzelbergs!.Warn echt schöne Tage bei euch.Berlin ist immer wieder ne Reise wert und man hofft auf baldiges Wiedersehen.Das Hostel ist wärmstens zu empfehlen,wer ein Abstecher in die schönste Stadt Deutschlands machen will,ist hier an der richtigen Adresse.

This hostel was great! I stayed here when I first came to Berlin, and I loved it! It's in a great area, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are very clean, and I'd stay here again in a heartbeat. It was definitely my best hostel experience- I highly recommend it!

Das Horseteam war zum Chattertreffen da und fand es wunderbar!

Clean and Funky! Stay here!
I highly recommend this hostel! It is amazing. First off - it is in a great area of East Berlin. Easy to get to via the subway line and in a great neighbourhood with wonderful restaurants (try the Golden Buddha!) and great pubs/clubs. A really fun scene. Secondly, it is the cleanest hostel and perhaps even hotel I have ever stayed at. We booked a private double room with a shared bathroom and it was so great. No problems at all sharing the bathroom and it was cleaned daily. The whole hostel is filled with funky graffitti art and although our room looked into the courtyard the cool graphics made it ok. Its not a super party place - its fun, but we could sleep at night, which is always a bonus! The staff are good, the beds comfortable and overall - we travelled for a month is a combo of two star hotels and hostels, and this place was the best by far! Its not the Ritz, but then again, if that was what you were looking for you wouldn't be reading this. If you're heading to Berlin, book in here!!

Great location, cheerful staff, spectacular courtyard, clean rooms and showers. We came for the World Cup, we'll return to see more of Berlin and we'd stay at Hostel Alcatraz again. We've already recommended the place to all of our friends. Thanks for being there when we needed you!

This place was great! The staff was wonderful...very friendly and helpful. Everything was clean and the showers were hot! :) The other annemities were great too...internet, the kitchen...no curfew! Thanks Alcatraz...you definitely added to the greatness of our trip!

The best hostel out of six weeks travelling in eight countries! I found it very social and met some of the most interesting people there. The facilities are excellent. I will definitely stay there again!

First time at backpackers, so nothing really to compare it to, but it was clean and the showers and toilets were clean and new. I checked in after midnight with no problems. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's close to Eberswalder Strasse station on the on the U2 U-Bahn and from there, only a couple of stops into Berlin city. Good value at 40euro for 4 nights (excl. deposit for room key and locker lock/key)
